Mahi Mahi
Mahi Mahi
Mahi Mahi, otherwise known as Dorado or Dolphinfish are common around the island's shores.
Usually found a couple of miles offshore, they do occasionally come right up to the reef edge and are great sport on light tackle.
| Always leaping across the surface when hooked up, their extraordinary colours are a sight to see. | |
| Often caught when out trolling lures on heavy tackle for marlin, they are delicious to eat but can be quite a handful on deck if brought in green. | |
|
Bite Me carries a spray bottle containing Fiji overproof Bounty rum. A shot in the gills and they calm down pretty fast. |
