Tease Me - Fishing Equipment Rundown

Most of our anglers who wish to popper cast for GTs bring their own tackle. The big GTs here will destroy anything less than Shimano Stellas or Daiwa Saltigas on heavy tackle custom popper rods.

The popper casting equipment we carry is only suitable for targeting GTs up to about 25kg.

If you wish to target large GTs in the 25-50kg range you will need to bring your own heavy tackle popping gear.

• 2 x Daiwa Freams on Penn 10kg casting rods (Inshore light tackle)
• 2 x Shimano TLD25s on Excaliber custom 15kg rods, (Trolling
• 2 x Daiwa high speed Saltists on Shimano T-Curve deep drop 200 rods (Deepwater jigging)

• Butt pads

• Top Shot fixed gaff & disposable gaff,
• Tag stick & NSW Fisheries tags
• Pliers, knife, gloves, Split ring pliers, crimping tools,
• Tackle boxes with an assortment of terminal gear including crimps, snap swivels, split rings, solid rings, various types and sizes of leader materials and terminal tackle needed for traces and hook rigs.
• Lure roll with assorted small to medium sized skirted lures,
• Assortment of bibed and bibless minnows, metal slugs and surface poppers, (Halco, River 2 Sea, Rapala, Yo-Zuri)
• Selection of jigs, soft plastics, bottom rigs and weights.
